Spooky Maryland
Anne Terri: Spooky Maryland. This is something I've believed in since childhood. Many tales have been passed down by our ancestors. No wonder - it's because there is so much that has happened there. Why have I chosen to review Maryland's stories? It's my home state.
The author, S. E. Schlosser, has chosen to break her book into two sections. Let us start with Part One – Ghost Stories.
The map in the front of Maryland was quite helpful in visualizing the author's journey. She visited many areas, searching for those illusive Spirits. First, I must tell you that this is a most unusual book review. The Holy Ghost Is here with me, And Will Be A Strong Part of this review, to help you to see the light.
As it has been written here before, if it's in blue, God Is Speaking.

''God's Spirit World (God Through Anne Terri)
1. I Have Asked Anne Terri to read 'Spooky Maryland' in its entirety, With Me By her side.
2. Anne believes in ghosts.
3. This is one of the reasons I knew she would be perfect as a Messiah.
4. One whom is willing to go forward with an intense belief in the Spirit World.
5. I Control All Spirits.
6. AMEN''
Anne Terri: I will continue here, with this first group of stories. First we visit Salisbury, and the traditional account of one staying all night in a haunted house, to prove it's truly haunted. Whalem Balem is story 1. At this point in my life, I'm learning not to believe all I read, for as a child I believed all of this was possible. But how many times have investigators challenged a haunted house, and with equipment to prove it, but walked out empty handed? This happens quite frequently. The Holy Ghost, whom is God has told me this is a nice story, but is a tale only.
Remember I told you that Maryland has much to say. There is much to be said, right there at the Mason Dixon line, and the stories of slavery abound. Story 2 is such a tale, one of a Cruel Master. Many horrible accounts of slavery are true, and I'm happy to say, that this one is not.
''AMEN''
During the Civil War, the ghost stories grew, and one of my favorite ghost tours is in Harper's Ferry. But that's not in Maryland. Neither is my favorite Civil War area, Gettysburg. Instead, we have one from Annapolis, Maryland.
The Headless Confederate. How many times have you heard of a headless man whom wants to reclaim his head? Quite often, I'd say. This one is also a nice tale to be told around the camp fire.
S. E. Schlosser is doing her best to bring these tales to life. This isn't easy, especially when the ghost may not appear before you, and you have to rely on someone else's account. I'm a seasoned veteran of Ghost Stories, and many novels with the same theme. It takes a lot to scare me, and make me shiver in my boots. So far, I've not felt this.
However, I do feel the Spiritual Nature of something of truth. This is brought about by, God. What do I feel, you may ask? I literally feel tears, and highly emotional, at times.
I will not recount every haunted tale from Part One, but I wish to share one that God says actually happened. It's Story 7, of The Life Car.
''The Life Car (God Through Anne Terri)
1.This Live Car is in a museum you have visited Anne.
2.It is an amazing device, when strung on ropes between a ship that is in trouble, to another that isn't, it can save lives.
3.There have been many lives saved with this Life Car, that is sitting now in The Ocean City Life Saving Museum, in Ocean City, Maryland.
4.Anne, when you went to this museum, did you know it was haunted?
5.No.
6.Did you think of this Life Car, with any feeling?
7.No.
8.You did not suspect that there could have been someone who died in it, cold and shivering in the darkness.
9.It is not a very large car, but it served its purpose, many times. Sometimes, I Reward someone's belief in Spirits, with a form of manifestation of a time gone by.
10.This is not a ghost, but the imprint of an actual event that has happened long ago.
11.The writer saw this with her son, and it frightened her enough to leave the museum.
12. AMEN''
''The Run Away From Steal Away Home (God Through Anne Terri)
Let Us Go forward to page 72, and a true story about a slave that was in trouble, hiding from being captured.
Not far from Ocean City Maryland, in Berlin, another place that's on Maryland's Eastern Shore, there is a story that is true. Steal Away Home, is such a story. One thing Anne noticed, is that the name of Moses is mentioned in the story. A simple song, of Swing Low Sweet Chariot.
The writer endeavors to use the style of language from the old south, perhaps how a black slave might have talked. It's helpful to do this when bringing the reader into the story. This time, a black slave is in trouble, and a woman appears to them and helps them to stay safe. This slave was running to a safe house. They were amazed to see this woman on the dark road. The story, told through the eyes of a slave is amazing, in the fact that this woman showed him where to hide, which was under the wood pile - a secret root cellar. The slave was frightened, but was not detected by the blood hounds. He had fallen asleep and woke up to the sound of the trap door being pulled open.
The man whom had opened the door was told of the pretty lady that had helped the slave. The best part of the story is, that this is the man's late wife, who saved the slave. The way the man knew where to find the slave was, that his wife appeared to him in a dream the night before, telling him that she had put something into the root cellar for him.
AMEN''
Anne Terri: God, this one really spoke to me, for I'm also one of your Visionaries, and I've lost count as to how many dreams sent by You, I've documented for Your Living Bible.
''AMEN''
I continued to read on, noticing as I reached PART TWO: POWERS OF DARKNESS AND LIGHT, I was starting to see a style developing in the writing. This, I've seen in my own work, over a period of time. It's when you find your inner self and allow God to help you. There is an occurrence in this section, that God wishes to discuss, but first let's think of the history of Fort McHenry, Baltimore. A major battle occurred there on the morning of September 13, 1814. It was a battle between the British and America, and during this, Francis Scott Key penned the poem that was to become the National Anthem of America.
Dawn's Early Light is the author's personal story of a visit to this Fort, which is now a Museum. She experienced what is called retrocognition.
''Retrocognition A Vision From God (God Through Anne Terri)
In this museum, the Author had what is known as a Vision. They call it in psychic circles, retrocognition, which I Have Asked you Anne to look up in the dictionary.
She was witness to the battle - transported back in time, as if she were there in the 1800's. This is something she's experienced before.
As a person whom is writing about the Spirit World, and is working towards helping others find their belief in the other side, I Am An Advocate of Helping her to understand that she is bringing many stories of Truth forward to her readers.
I Know you looked up retrocognition, and found that someone is making an effort to discount this as truth. When S.E. Schlosser, says it happened to her, she is telling the truth.
AMEN''
Retrocognition: also known as postcognition, from the Latin retro, meaning backward, behind'' and cognition, meaning ''knowing'', is the purported paranormal transfer of information about an event or object in the past. The term was coined by Frederic Myers.
