Jeremiah 4:1-2 If thou wilt return, O Israel, saith the LORD, return unto me...
put away thine abominations...
swear, The LORD liveth, in truth, in judgment, and in righteousness...
Jeremiah 4:3-4 ...saith the LORD to the men of Judah and Jerusalem,
Break up your fallow ground, and sow not among thorns.
Circumcise yourselves to the LORD, and take away the foreskins of your heart...
lest my fury come forth like fire...
Jeremiah 4:5-8 Declare ye in Judah... in Jerusalem...say, Blow ye the trumpet...
Assemble yourselves, and let us go into the defenced cities.
Set up the standard toward Zion ....stay not: for I will bring evil from the north...
The lion is come up from his thicket, and the destroyer of the Gentiles is on his way...
gird you with sackcloth... the fierce anger of the LORD is not turned back from us.
Jeremiah 4:9-14 it shall come to pass...saith the LORD, that the heart of the king shall perish...
said I, Ah, Lord GOD! surely thou hast greatly deceived this people and Jerusalem, saying,
Ye shall have peace; whereas the sword reacheth unto the soul...Behold, he shall come up as clouds,
and his chariots shall be as a whirlwind: his horses are swifter than eagles. Woe unto us! ...
Jeremiah 4:15-22 a voice declareth from Dan, and publisheth affliction from mount Ephraim....
Make ye mention to the nations; behold, publish against Jerusalem,
that watchers come from a far country, and give out their voice against the cities of Judah...
because she hath been rebellious against me, saith the LORD...
For my people is foolish, they have not known me ...
they are wise to do evil, but to do good they have no knowledge.
Jeremiah 4:23-26 I beheld the earth, and, lo, it was without form, and void;
and the heavens, and they had no light...
all the cities thereof were broken down at the presence of the LORD,
and by his fierce anger.
Jeremiah 4:27-31 the LORD said, The whole land shall be desolate;
yet will I not make a full end...this shall the earth mourn,
and the heavens above be black: because I have spoken it...

Jeremiah 4:1-2 If thou wilt return, O Israel, saith the LORD, return unto me... put away thine abominations...swear, The LORD liveth, in truth, in judgment, and in righteousness...
1: If thou wilt return, O Israel, saith the LORD, return unto me: and if thou wilt put away thine abominations out of my sight, then shalt thou not remove.
2: And thou shalt swear, The LORD liveth, in truth, in judgment, and in righteousness; and the nations shall bless themselves in him, and in him shall they glory.
Jeremiah 4:3-4 ...saith the LORD to the men of Judah and Jerusalem, Break up your fallow ground, and sow not among thorns. Circumcise yourselves to the LORD, and take away the foreskins of your heart...lest my fury come forth like fire...
3: For thus saith the LORD to the men of Judah and Jerusalem, Break up your fallow ground, and sow not among thorns.
4: Circumcise yourselves to the LORD, and take away the foreskins of your heart, ye men of Judah and inhabitants of Jerusalem: lest my fury come forth like fire, and burn that none can quench it, because of the evil of your doings.
Jeremiah 4:5-8 Declare ye in Judah... in Jerusalem...say, Blow ye the trumpet... Assemble yourselves, and let us go into the defenced cities. Set up the standard toward Zion ....stay not: for I will bring evil from the north...The lion is come up from his thicket, and the destroyer of the Gentiles is on his way...gird you with sackcloth... the fierce anger of the LORD is not turned back from us.
5: Declare ye in Judah, and publish in Jerusalem; and say, Blow ye the trumpet in the land: cry, gather together, and say, Assemble yourselves, and let us go into the defenced cities.
6: Set up the standard toward Zion: retire, stay not: for I will bring evil from the north, and a great destruction.
7: The lion is come up from his thicket, and the destroyer of the Gentiles is on his way; he is gone forth from his place to make thy land desolate; and thy cities shall be laid waste, without an inhabitant.
8: For this gird you with sackcloth, lament and howl: for the fierce anger of the LORD is not turned back from us.
Jeremiah 4:9-14 it shall come to pass...saith the LORD, that the heart of the king shall perish... said I, Ah, Lord GOD! surely thou hast greatly deceived this people and Jerusalem, saying, Ye shall have peace; whereas the sword reacheth unto the soul...Behold, he shall come up as clouds,
and his chariots shall be as a whirlwind: his horses are swifter than eagles. Woe unto us! ...
9: And it shall come to pass at that day, saith the LORD, that the heart of the king shall perish, and the heart of the princes; and the priests shall be astonished, and the prophets shall wonder.
10: Then said I, Ah, Lord GOD! surely thou hast greatly deceived this people and Jerusalem, saying, Ye shall have peace; whereas the sword reacheth unto the soul.
11: At that time shall it be said to this people and to Jerusalem, A dry wind of the high places in the wilderness toward the daughter of my people, not to fan, nor to cleanse,
12: Even a full wind from those places shall come unto me: now also will I give sentence against them.
13: Behold, he shall come up as clouds, and his chariots shall be as a whirlwind: his horses are swifter than eagles. Woe unto us! for we are spoiled.
14: O Jerusalem, wash thine heart from wickedness, that thou mayest be saved. How long shall thy vain thoughts lodge within thee?
Jeremiah 4:15-22 a voice declareth from Dan, and publisheth affliction from mount Ephraim....Make ye mention to the nations; behold, publish against Jerusalem, that watchers come from a far country, and give out their voice against the cities of Judah... because she hath been rebellious against me, saith the LORD... For my people is foolish, they have not known me ...they are wise to do evil, but to do good they have no knowledge.
15: For a voice declareth from Dan, and publisheth affliction from mount Ephraim.
16: Make ye mention to the nations; behold, publish against Jerusalem, that watchers come from a far country, and give out their voice against
the cities of Judah.
17: As keepers of a field, are they against her round about; because she hath been rebellious against me, saith the LORD.
18: Thy way and thy doings have procured these things unto thee; this is thy wickedness, because it is bitter, because it reacheth unto thine heart.
19: My bowels, my bowels! I am pained at my very heart; my heart maketh a noise in me; I cannot hold my peace,
because thou hast heard, O my soul, the sound of the trumpet, the alarm of war.
20: Destruction upon destruction is cried; for the whole land is spoiled: suddenly are my tents spoiled, and my curtains in a moment.
21: How long shall I see the standard, and hear the sound of the trumpet?
22: For my people is foolish, they have not known me; they are sottish children, and they have none understanding: they are wise to do evil, but to do good they have no knowledge.
Jeremiah 4:23-26 I beheld the earth, and, lo, it was without form, and void; and the heavens, and they had no light...all the cities thereof were broken down at the presence of the LORD, and by his fierce anger.
23: I beheld the earth, and, lo, it was without form, and void; and the heavens, and they had no light.
24: I beheld the mountains, and, lo, they trembled, and all the hills moved lightly.
25: I beheld, and, lo, there was no man, and all the birds of the heavens were fled.
26: I beheld, and, lo, the fruitful place was a wilderness, and all the cities thereof were broken down at the presence of the LORD, and by his fierce anger.
Jeremiah 4:27-31 the LORD said, The whole land shall be desolate; yet will I not make a full end...this shall the earth mourn, and the heavens above be black: because I have spoken it...
27: For thus hath the LORD said, The whole land shall be desolate; yet will I not make a full end.
28: For this shall the earth mourn, and the heavens above be black: because I have spoken it, I have purposed it, and will not repent, neither will I turn back from it.
29: The whole city shall flee for the noise of the horsemen and bowmen; they shall go into thickets, and climb up upon the rocks: every city shall be forsaken, and not a man dwell therein.
30: And when thou art spoiled, what wilt thou do? Though thou clothest thyself with crimson, though thou deckest thee with ornaments of gold, though thou rentest thy face with painting, in vain shalt thou make thyself fair; thy lovers will despise thee, they will seek thy life.
31: For I have heard a voice as of a woman in travail, and the anguish as of her that bringeth forth her first child, the voice of the daughter of Zion, that bewaileth herself, that spreadeth her hands, saying, Woe is me now! for my soul is wearied because of murderers.

Deuteronomy 10: 14-22 (The Heaven of Heavens is the Lord's – Moses Tribute to God)
14: Behold, the heaven and the heaven of heavens is the LORD's thy God, the earth also, with all that therein is.
15: Only the LORD had a delight in thy fathers to love them, and he chose their seed after them, even you above all people, as it is this day.
16: Circumcise therefore the foreskin of your heart, and be no more stiffnecked.
17: For the LORD your God is God of gods, and Lord of lords, a great God, a mighty, and a terrible, which regardeth not persons, nor taketh reward:
18: He doth execute the judgment of the fatherless and widow, and loveth the stranger, in giving him food and raiment.
19: Love ye therefore the stranger: for ye were strangers in the land of Egypt.
20: Thou shalt fear the LORD thy God; him shalt thou serve, and to him shalt thou cleave, and swear by his name.
21: He is thy praise, and he is thy God, that hath done for thee these great and terrible things, which thine eyes have seen.
22: Thy fathers went down into Egypt with threescore and ten persons; and now the LORD thy God hath made thee as the stars of heaven for multitude.

John 7:14-29 the midst of the feast ... Jesus teaches The Jews In The Temple - If any man will do his will, he shall know of the doctrine ... Moses give you the law, and yet none of you keepeth the law? Why go ye about to kill me? ... Judge Not By Appearance - Circumcision ... he that sent me is true...
14: Now about the midst of the feast Jesus went up into the temple, and taught.
15: And the Jews marvelled, saying, How knoweth this man letters, having never learned?
16: Jesus answered them, and said, My doctrine is not mine, but his that sent me.
17: If any man will do his will, he shall know of the doctrine, whether it be of God, or whether I speak of myself.
18: He that speaketh of himself seeketh his own glory: but he that seeketh his glory that sent him, the same is true, and no unrighteousness is in him.
19: Did not Moses give you the law, and yet none of you keepeth the law? Why go ye about to kill me?
20: The people answered and said, Thou hast a devil: who goeth about to kill thee?
21: Jesus answered and said unto them, I have done one work, and ye all marvel.
22: Moses therefore gave unto you circumcision; (not because it is of Moses, but of the fathers;) and ye on the sabbath day circumcise a man.
23: If a man on the sabbath day receive circumcision, that the law of Moses should not be broken; are ye angry at me, because I have made a man every whit whole on the sabbath day?
24: Judge not according to the appearance, but judge righteous judgment.
25: Then said some of them of Jerusalem, Is not this he, whom they seek to kill?
26: But, lo, he speaketh boldly, and they say nothing unto him. Do the rulers know indeed that this is the very Christ?
27: Howbeit we know this man whence he is: but when Christ cometh, no man knoweth whence he is.
28: Then cried Jesus in the temple as he taught, saying, Ye both know me, and ye know whence I am: and I am not come of myself, but he that sent me is true, whom ye know not.
29: But I know him: for I am from him, and he hath sent me.

Acts 7: 8-19 Stephen teaches of Jacob and the twelve patriarchs and tells him the story of Joseph and the Pharaoh, king of Egypt.
8: And he gave him the covenant of circumcision: and so Abraham begat Isaac, and circumcised him the eighth day; and Isaac begat Jacob; and Jacob begat the twelve patriarchs.
9: And the patriarchs, moved with envy, sold Joseph into Egypt: but God was with him,
10: And delivered him out of all his afflictions, and gave him favour and wisdom in the sight of Pharaoh king of Egypt; and he made him governor over Egypt and all his house.
11: Now there came a dearth over all the land of Egypt and Chanaan, and great affliction: and our fathers found no sustenance.
12: But when Jacob heard that there was corn in Egypt, he sent out our fathers first.
13: And at the second time Joseph was made known to his brethren; and Joseph's kindred was made known unto Pharaoh.
14: Then sent Joseph, and called his father Jacob to him, and all his kindred, threescore and fifteen souls.
15: So Jacob went down into Egypt, and died, he, and our fathers,
16: And were carried over into Sychem, and laid in the sepulchre that Abraham bought for a sum of money of the sons of Emmor the father of Sychem.
17: But when the time of the promise drew nigh, which God had sworn to Abraham, the people grew and multiplied in Egypt,
18: Till another king arose, which knew not Joseph.
19: The same dealt subtilly with our kindred, and evil entreated our fathers, so that they cast out their young children, to the end they might not live.

THE KINGDOM OF ISRAEL
This article is about the biblical Israelite kingdom ruled by Saul, David, and Solomon.
The United Monarchy is the name given to the Israelite kingdom of Israel and Judah, during the reigns of Saul, David and Solomon, as depicted in the Hebrew Bible. This is traditionally dated between 1050 and 930 BCE. On the succession of Solomon's son, Rehoboam, in c. 930 BCE the biblical account reports that the country split into two kingdoms; the Kingdom of Israel (including the cities of Shechem and Samaria) in the north and the Kingdom of Judah (containing Jerusalem) in the south. Modern historians are divided on the historicity of the United Monarchy as described in the Bible, there is archeological evidence for the existence of a Davidic Kingdom but there is no direct evidence of a united Kingdom of Judah and Israel in the 10th century
