PSALM 4 - STUDY GUIDE
"God Through Anne Terri With The Holy Spirit: You noted yesterday, when beginning Psalm 4 Study Guide, that the King James Version is very different from Living Bible which you used at your Mother's home. The translations are only partially similar, which is why so many religions of Christianity do not agree. The translator seems to have power.
Show them Anne, the comparison. We will use the KJV, as always, for The Third Testament. God's Living Bible is now in My Hands, not to be confused with Living Bible. Use the Colors of The Third Testament for the King James Version. Use also the References to The Third Testament for both. Please note in bold, primarily where in the Living Bible Version it is written I Declared (David) perfect. In the hand held Bible you read, Anne, this was actually in quotes, as if I Said it directly to King David, especially in line two, where it says: The Lord God asks. Note also the addition of the words 'silly idols,' and that I will Answer when David calls unto Me. In the KJV the translator is not certain if I Asked or not, so it was not added.
AMEN"
King James Version
Psalm 4
1: Hear me when I call, O God of my righteousness: thou hast enlarged me when I was in distress; have mercy upon me, and hear my prayer.
2: O ye sons of men, how long will ye turn my glory into shame? how long will ye love vanity, and seek after leasing? Selah.
3: But know that the LORD hath set apart him that is godly for himself: the LORD will hear when I call unto him.
4: Stand in awe, and sin not: commune with your own heart upon your bed, and be still. Selah.
5: Offer the sacrifices of righteousness, and put your trust in
the LORD.
6: There be many that say, Who will shew us any good? LORD, lift thou up the light of thy countenance upon us.
7: Thou hast put gladness in my heart, more than in the time that their corn and their wine increased.
8: I will both lay me down in peace, and sleep: for thou, LORD, only makest me dwell in safety.
COMPARISON STUDY
Living Bible
Psalm 4
1. O God, you have declared me perfect in your eyes; you have always cared for me in my distress; now hear me as I call again. Have mercy on me. Hear my prayer.
2. The Lord God asks, “Sons of men, will you forever turn my glory into shame by worshiping these silly idols, when every claim that’s made for them is false?”
3. Mark this well: The Lord has set apart the redeemed for himself. Therefore he will listen to me and answer when I call to him.
4. Stand before the Lord in awe, and do not sin against him. Lie quietly upon your bed in silent meditation.
5. Put your trust in the Lord, and offer him pleasing sacrifices.
6. Many say that God will never help us. Prove them wrong, O Lord, by letting the light of your face shine down upon us.
7. Yes, the gladness you have given me is far greater than their joys at harvest time as they gaze at their bountiful crops.
8. I will lie down in peace and sleep, for though I am alone, O Lord, you will keep me safe.

Father which is in heaven is perfect.
