Colossians 4:1-4 Masters give unto your servants that which is just an equal ... ye also have a Master in Heaven ... Praying also for us ... that God would open unto us a door of utterance
1: Masters, give unto your servants that which is just and equal; knowing that ye also have a Master in heaven.
2: Continue in prayer, and watch in the same with thanksgiving;
3: Withal praying also for us, that God would open unto us a door of utterance, to speak the mystery of Christ, for which I am also in bonds:
4: That I may make it manifest, as I ought to speak.
Colossians 4:5-6 Walk in Wisdom ...
5: Walk in wisdom toward them that are without, redeeming the time.
6: Let your speech be always with grace, seasoned with salt, that ye may know how ye ought to answer every man.
Colossians 4:7-11 All my state shall Tychicus - declare unto you ... Onesimus ... Aristarchus...fellowprisioner ... Marcus ... Jesus which is called Justus, who are of the circumcision ... Fellowworkers unto the kingdom of God
7: All my state shall Tychicus declare unto you, who is a beloved brother, and a faithful minister and fellowservant in the Lord:
8: Whom I have sent unto you for the same purpose, that he might know your estate, and comfort your hearts;
9: With Onesimus, a faithful and beloved brother, who is one of you. They shall make known unto you all things which are done here.
10: Aristarchus my fellowprisoner saluteth you, and Marcus, sister's son to Barnabas, (touching whom ye received commandments: if he come unto you, receive him;)
11: And Jesus, which is called Justus, who are of the circumcision. These only are my fellowworkers unto the kingdom of God, which have been a comfort unto me.

12: Epaphras, who is one of you, a servant of Christ, saluteth you, always labouring fervently for you in prayers, that ye may stand perfect and complete in all the will of God.
13: For I bear him record, that he hath a great zeal for you, and them that are in Laodicea, and them in Hierapolis.
14: Luke, the beloved physician, and Demas, greet you.
15: Salute the brethren which are in Laodicea, and Nymphas, and the church which is in his house.
16: And when this epistle is read among you, cause that it be read also in the church of the Laodiceans; and that ye likewise read the epistle from Laodicea.
17: And say to Archippus, Take heed to the ministry which thou hast received in the Lord, that thou fulfill it.
18: The salutation by the hand of me Paul. Remember my bonds. Grace be with you. Amen.

The Church at Laodicea
Followers of Christ who lived in the ancient city of Laodicea, along the river Lycus, which was a Roman province in Asia, formed a church in the name of Jesus during early Christianity.
Laodicea is mentioned in The New Testament
Col. 2:1, Col. 4:13-16
Revelation 3:14-22
It is believed that the time line of Paul and his letters to the various churches would place Christianity in Laodicea around 50 A.D.
Hierapolis:
meaning 'holy city' was located in the Greco-Roman city in Phrygia. Once in southwest Anatolia, it was on the area where the hot springs are in use as a spa, which began during the 2nd century before Christ. What is left of this ancient city lies in ruin. Where it once stood, is near Pamukkale, Turkey.
The ruins in Hierapolis are many, which date back to the time of the Roman Empire. One worthy of note is The Saint Philip Martyrium. It is said that he was martyred in Heierapolis, by being crucified upside-down. It is also said his tomb is in the center of the building, but after early excavation, they are not certain where he is buried.
The question and debate is as to which Philip this is. Philip the Evangelist, a later apostle, who is not the Philip of Jesus' original twelve. Philip the Evangelist is written of in Acts 6:5 and Acts 21:8-9. Yet, there also reports of him being hung in Phrygia.
Acts 6:5 ...They chose Stephen ... and Philip ...
5: And the saying pleased the whole multitude: and they chose Stephen, a man full of faith and of the Holy Ghost, and Philip, and Prochorus, and Nicanor, and Timon, and Parmenas, and Nicolas a proselyte of Antioch:

Acts 21:8-9 Philip the evangelist ... four daughters, virgins ...did prophesy
8: And the next day we that were of Paul's company departed, and came unto Caesarea: and we entered into the house of Philip the evangelist, which was one of the seven; and abode with him.
9: And the same man had four daughters, virgins, which did prophesy.
