GOD AND BRAHMAN
GOD AND BRAHMAN
Forward: Before we begin, I have noticed in my research the confusion between Brahman and Brahma.
Brahma is the first god of The Hindu Trimurti. This will be discussed later.
Hindu Concepts About God
Bhagavan: It is impossible to say any thing True about God, for what God Is is beyond our language.
It is said in Hinduism, when one follows Adi Shankara, that God and the Soul are the same, and therefore, one must realize this to be liberated.
God is The Supreme.
Bhagavan is a person. God Loves and Shows Compassion. Theologians of Hinduism say The Supreme God manifests to express himself in the form of many gods and goddesses. It is impossible to know God's Essence, only be witness to God's Forces.
Adi Shankara: was an Indian philosopher from Kalady of present day Kerala. He taught based on the unity of the Atman and Brahman. Atman means self, and this concept is taught in Hinduism, Buddhism, Sikhism, Yoga and Jainism.

BRAHMAN
The God of the Universe, the highest God in Hinduism. Brahman Is The Creator of the Universe.
For me, Brahman, would be as our God, by a different name. For God Has Shared with me, I Am One God, and have been called Many Names. In the past, as with many ancient religions, in an effort to understand God, or in the case of Hinduism, the oldest known religion, Brahman, the followers often worshiped God's many Creations as other gods, giving each one a separate name credit for certain powers. This is similar to what happened long ago, with the Pagan forms of worship, and the confusion of the Christian concept of The Blessed Trinity.
And as many Religions make the effort to understand their Creator, there are different viewpoints on Brahman, in the study of Hinduism.
However, it is mostly agreed upon by the Hindus, that Brahman Is the power, who holds up everything. What is interesting is, that in Hinduism, Brahman Is not worshiped.
Brahman Being the supreme of all, is thought to manifest in many forms and shapes. This too is similar
To how I See God, for God Has often Manifested for me in this fashion, and I hear God in everything.
The Hindus believe in many gods and goddesses and many feel these deities are manifestations of Brahman.
Many people do not know that the Hindus believe in God. Much of this proof is in the Sanskrit, a language not known by many. For example the word in English: God, can be translated from Sanskrit words, Bhagavan and Ishvara.
God to the Hindus is The Creator, and unlimited. God Knows everything. God Is A Great Spirit.
Anne Terri:
Therefore, do not put limits on God in your own confusion.
God In Many Forms:
God, My father, mother, sister, brother and friend.
God, a parent, child, beautiful woman.
God the angry God or Goddess.
The Hindus believe in God being in ones desired form.
Therefore, If I choose to being peace to the world, and I am a devout follower who is with God,
God Will Help me do this.
The desired form of God is called ishta devata.
HINDUISM FORMS OF GOD
Remember, in Hinduism, Brahman, is the highest God, Who is the force in all things both living and material.
