Anne Terri's Notes -Numbers 11: A fire burns and consumes them in the outer most parts of the camp. It's said to be from the Lord, and it's documented that The Lord Is Angry at the people who have complained. The fire is quenched after Moses Prays to The Lord. ( Num 11: 1-2 )
And the people have fallen in lust. They are hungry and resort to the manna, and the coriander seed. It was milled and baked and tasted of fresh oil. The people are still unhappy and the Lord is still angry as is Moses. (Num 11:3-10)
Moses asks why? The people are still wailing for more than bread, they want meat. Moses is in such despair, he asks the Lord to kill him. (Num 11: 11-15)
At this time, The Lord wants 70 elders from the House of Israel to stand with Moses and to also receive the Spirit and to bear the burden with him. The Lord, Still Angry, basically Says You Will have your meat, but it will come out of your noses for not being thankful.
(Num 11: 16-20)
''AMEN''
Moses asks the Lord what should I feed them, of the herds or the fish? He knew there were six hundred thousand footmen. God admonishes him for not believing he could feed all of them. Then it's is done as the Lord asked, and the 70 elders gather at the tabernacle. (Num 11: 21-24)
In the next segment there is a Miracle.
Numbers 11:25
25: And the LORD came down in a cloud, and spake unto him, and took of the spirit that was upon him, and gave it unto the seventy elders: and it came to pass, that, when the spirit rested upon them, they prophesied, and did not cease.
Anne Terri - In Numbers 11:26-30, we have four new names. Eldad, and Medad. They didn't go to the tabernacle, but stayed in the camp. Yet, they too prophesied. And Joshua, the son of Nun tells Moses. At this point, (Num 11: 31-35) The Lord Brings quails from the sea and the people seemingly lusting after the flesh of the meat are with plague and at Kibroth-hattaavah they were buried. After this they journey away from this place, and abode at Hazeroth.
All I can say to you who read Numbers 11, be thankful, and remember to tell God.
