Genesis 28:18-22 JACOB'S STONE - VOW - GOD'S HOUSE
Jacob rose up ...took the stone he had put for his pillows ... set it up for a pillar ... poured oil ... he called ... that place Bethel ... was called Luz ... Jacob vowed... If God will be with me ... give me bread ... and raiment ... so that I come again to my father's house in peace ...then shall the LORD be my God ... this stone ... shall be God's house: ... of all that thou shalt give me ... I will surely give the tenth unto thee.

[13] And, behold, the LORD stood above it, and said, I am the LORD God of Abraham thy father, and the God of Isaac: the land whereon thou liest, to thee will I give it, and to thy seed;
[14] And thy seed shall be as the dust of the earth, and thou shalt spread abroad to the west, and to the east, and to the north, and to the south: and in thee and in thy seed shall all the families of the earth be blessed.
[15] And, behold, I am with thee, and will keep thee in all places whither thou goest, and will bring thee again into this land; for I will not leave thee, until I have done that which I have spoken to thee of.

Genesis 28:16-17 Jacob awaked ... he said Surely the LORD is in this place ... he was afraid ... said How dreadful is this place ... is no other but the house of God ... the gate of heaven.

GENESIS 27 STUDY GUIDE
ESAU'S BIRTHRIGHT SWITCHED BY JACOB

Genesis 27:1-29 Rebekah helps Jacob fool his blind, elderly father Isaac into thinking he is Esau,
and therefore receives Isaac's blessing as the first born son.

Genesis 27:30-46 Esau returns and finds out what has happened.
Esau hated Jacob because of the blessing bestowed.
Their Father, Isaac would not reverse what happened.
Esau vows to slay his brother Jacob, after the days of morning his father are over.
Rebekah sends Esau to Laban to hide.
