Jewish and Christian Traditions
A New Perspective Of The Easter Egg (Research Prompted By God Through Anne Terri)
Every year, Passover and Easter seemed intertwined in my childhood. Living in a mixed neighborhood of Jews and Christians, gave me a new perspective during many of the holiday celebrations.
Many times, I would be fascinated with the Jewish Traditions and to this day I'm still learning.
I'm sickened by the world today, as they fight in the name of Religion. We all come from the same source, God. All Religion hails from God. The earlier Religions, are spiritual, dating back to approximately 6,000 BC.
This year's Passover, which is on April 18, 2008, celebrates centuries of tradition and the liberation of the Israelites from Egyptian slavery. However, when will they really be liberated? They've gone from the frying pan into the fire. They too, are now part of the problem, instead of the solution. Liberation from war is what I advocate, on all sides. No more missiles should be pointed at anyone. No one should be held as slaves.
So my friends, when you dip the hard boiled egg into salt water, remember that at the Passover Seder, it symbolized both new life and the Passover sacrifice offered at the Temple in Jerusalem.
How many sacrifices do you need to find Peace? With, or without a land of your own, you can find Peace within yourselves.
So many people were displaced through out time in history, in the name of conquest. Does anyone still have their homeland, in reality? I do not I've abandoned it, in search of Love, freedom, and the roots of all mankind.
God, grant us a new egg, something that will hatch in Your Name, a fresh start.
