Salome – Rechecking Names Documented (God Through Anne Terri)
I've asked Anne to double check the name of the daughter of Herod, for last night she heard her name mentioned by the actor playing the part of Herod, in Jesus of Nazareth, by Franco Zeffirelli.
AMEN''
Anne Terri's Notes: I heard the name Salome said in the movie. I've checked this before in The Holy Bible, but didn't find it. To be sure, I've checked again.
I'm now thinking that this name must have been brought forward from history books. To the best of my knowledge, Salome existed. There's much written of her, both in theater, and on line. However, what I have to tell me she lived is a photo of a coin with her visage upon it. I must take the word of the transcribers, for it's in Greek letters. The photo is under copyright.
God: ''As far a historical documents go, this is as close as you will get on line. She is said to have lived from 14 A.D. to around 62-71 A.D. She's the daughter of Herod and Herodias AMEN''
Matthew 14:6-11
6: But when Herod's birthday was kept, the daughter of Herodias danced before them, and pleased Herod.
7: Whereupon he promised with an oath to give her whatsoever she would ask.
8: And she, being before instructed of her mother, said, Give me here John Baptist's head in a charger.
9: And the king was sorry: nevertheless for the oath's sake, and them which sat with him at meat, he commanded it to be given her.
10: And he sent, and beheaded John in the prison.
11: And his head was brought in a charger, and given to the damsel: and she brought it to her mother.
Mark 6:21-29
20: For Herod feared John, knowing that he was a just man and an holy, and observed him; and when he heard him, he did many things, and heard him gladly.
21: And when a convenient day was come, that Herod on his birthday made a supper to his lords, high captains, and chief estates of Galilee;
22: And when the daughter of the said Herodias came in, and danced, and pleased Herod and them that sat with him, the king said unto the damsel, Ask of me whatsoever thou wilt, and I will give it thee.
23: And he sware unto her, Whatsoever thou shalt ask of me, I will give it thee, unto the half of my kingdom.
24: And she went forth, and said unto her mother, What shall I ask? And she said, The head of John the Baptist.
25: And she came in straightway with haste unto the king, and asked, saying, I will that thou give me by and by in a charger the head of John the Baptist.
26: And the king was exceeding sorry; yet for his oath's sake, and for their sakes which sat with him, he would not reject her.
27: And immediately the king sent an executioner, and commanded his head to be brought: and he went and beheaded him in the prison,
28: And brought his head in a charger, and gave it to the damsel: and the damsel gave it to her mother.
29: And when his disciples heard of it, they came and took up his corpse, and laid it in a tomb.
Anne Terri's Notes: The name of Salome appears once more in The New Testament, but this time after the Crucifixion. It is said, that a woman named Salome arrive to annoint Jesus at the tomb, in Mark 16:1.
....Mary Magdalene, and Mary the mother of James, and Salome arriving to anoint the body. (Mark 16: 1)
The mystery of Salome continues ....
