The Diary Of Anne Frank
(God Speaking To Anne Terri Through The Holy Spirit)
Several Christmases ago, Anne Terri and Carlo Ferdinando, visited the Anne Frank Museum in Amsterdam. It was a gift to her and her friend Carlo, from his children. How is this possible? A small dog was with them, and in order for them to be able to visit the original Annexe of Anne Frank, a young woman who finished her life in a Jewish World War II camp, the little dog had to be taken care of. The gift to them was several hours of pet sitting service. From this visit, a book of Anne's famous diary, written of her time in hiding in the 'Secret Annexe', was given to Anne Terri, as a gift from Carlo.
Two Annes, both very different, yet both so much alike. They both have an affinity with animals. Anne Frank loved her cat. She had to leave her cat behind, when they moved secretly to her Father's office building, a spice warehouse. This occurred when the word traveling amongst the Jews, was that they were in danger. Every day, more and more Jews were being taken away in trains, and placed in the dreaded camps, where many died of starvation, extreme cold, illnesses, and the horrid death of gas asphyxiation.
Anne Frank's account of her time in the 'Secret Annexe', was documented almost daily, in her diary which was given to her one birthday. The residents hiding there made every effort to continue to live their daily lives as normal, but it became increasingly more difficult, with so many people turning in the Jews for transport to the camps.
There were others in the Annexe; another family with a son, and a man whom was Anne's room mate. For her being so young, it was a difficult arrangement, for the man was not easy to live with. He had his ways, and she hers.
Her main love was reading, as well as documenting everything about her and the residents in her diary. On August 4, 1944, it seemed that there was hope of the war ending. In spite of this, Anne's Diary comes to an abrupt halt, when their 'Secret Annexe', is found and they are taken into custody. It's not known who was the one who turned them in. Nothing was left behind except a few scattered books and papers. After their arrest, Miep Gies, one of Otto's secretaries, bravely went into the Annexe with two other employees, and collected what was left. She locked it away in her desk, for safety.
After the war, when Anne's father Otto returned to the warehouse, he was given Anne's diary to read. It was a moment of memory and tears that he never forgot. Anne, her sister, and Mother had died in one of the camps. Otto made sure her diary was properly edited and published. Anne had always wanted to be a writer, and at such a young age, she was one of the best writers of her time. She is not the only member of her family to keep a diary. Her sister kept one too, but it was never recovered.
Are the names important? Yes. Anne Terri, look them up to be sure they are documented forever in My Living Bible. This is an historical book, both Anne's and Mine.
