1.While watching Jesus of Nazareth, by Franco Zeffirelli, Anne noticed John the Baptist said lines from The Old Testament, which had to do with God No Longer Accepting sacrifices of animals, such as lamb.
2.And John said repent ye of your sins to save your Souls.

Anne Terri's Research on Saint John The Baptist's Words
When God Reminded me of what was said in Zeffirelli's film, as truth, I realized I should research this further. I'm amazed how much Zeffirelli placed into the script for the actor, from The New Testament. He used much of Matthew 3.
In Mark 1, the story of John The Baptist is much shorter. There are also several lines written as spoken by John, both in Mark 1 and in Luke 3, which Zeffirelli included. So far, we have a good account of many things John The Baptist said.
But what about John the Apostle's writings? Apostle John's documentation is quite different from the others. One blazing difference for me, is that it is written, Saint John The Baptist called Jesus ''The Lamb of God'', which is not written elsewhere. In addition, some of the teaching of John The Baptist, when he speaks to the Pharisees, are reminiscent of Jesus' Teaching.

8: Bring forth therefore fruits meet for repentance:
9: And think not to say within yourselves, We have Abraham to our father: for I say unto you, that God is able of these stones to raise up children unto Abraham.

2: And said unto his servants, This is John the Baptist; he is risen from the dead; and therefore mighty works do shew forth themselves in him.
3: For Herod had laid hold on John, and bound him, and put him in prison for Herodias' sake, his brother Philip's wife.
4: For John said unto him, It is not lawful for thee to have her.
5: And when he would have put him to death, he feared the multitude, because they counted him as a prophet.
6: But when Herod's birthday was kept, the daughter of Herodias danced before them, and pleased Herod.
7: Whereupon he promised with an oath to give her whatsoever she would ask.
8: And she, being before instructed of her mother, said, Give me here John Baptist's head in a charger.
9: And the king was sorry: nevertheless for the oath's sake, and them which sat with him at meat, he commanded it to be given her.
10: And he sent, and beheaded John in the prison.
11: And his head was brought in a charger, and given to the damsel: and she brought it to her mother.
12: And his disciples came, and took up the body, and buried it, and went and told Jesus.
13: When Jesus heard [of it], he departed thence by ship into a desert place apart: and when the people had heard [thereof], they followed him on foot out of the cities.

4: John did baptize in the wilderness, and preach the baptism of repentance for the remission of sins.
5: And there went out unto him all the land of Judaea, and they of Jerusalem, and were all baptized of him in the river of Jordan, confessing their sins.
6: And John was clothed with camel's hair, and with a girdle of a skin about his loins; and he did eat locusts and wild honey;
7: And preached, saying, There cometh one mightier than I after me, the latchet of whose shoes I am not worthy to stoop down and unloose.

Mark 6:14-29 The Beheading Of John The Baptist – According To The Gospel Of Mark
14: And king Herod heard of him; (for his name was spread abroad:) and he said, That John the Baptist was risen from the dead, and therefore mighty works do shew forth themselves in him.
15: Others said, That it is Elias. And others said, That it is a prophet, or as one of the prophets.
16: But when Herod heard thereof, he said, It is John, whom I beheaded: he is risen from the dead.
17: For Herod himself had sent forth and laid hold upon John, and bound him in prison for Herodias' sake, his brother Philip's wife: for he had married her.
18: For John had said unto Herod, It is not lawful for thee to have thy brother's wife.
19: Therefore Herodias had a quarrel against him, and would have killed him; but she could not:
20: For Herod feared John, knowing that he was a just man and an holy, and observed him; and when he heard him, he did many things, and heard him gladly.
21: And when a convenient day was come, that Herod on his birthday made a supper to his lords, high captains, and chief estates of Galilee;
22: And when the daughter of the said Herodias came in, and danced, and pleased Herod and them that sat with him, the king said unto the damsel, Ask of me whatsoever thou wilt, and I will give it thee.
23: And he sware unto her, Whatsoever thou shalt ask of me, I will give it thee, unto the half of my kingdom.
24: And she went forth, and said unto her mother, What shall I ask? And she said, The head of John the Baptist.
25: And she came in straightway with haste unto the king, and asked, saying, I will that thou give me by and by in a charger the head of John the Baptist.
26: And the king was exceeding sorry; yet for his oath's sake, and for their sakes which sat with him, he would not reject her.
27: And immediately the king sent an executioner, and commanded his head to be brought: and he went and beheaded him in the prison,
28: And brought his head in a charger, and gave it to the damsel: and the damsel gave it to her mother.
29: And when his disciples heard of it, they came and took up his corpse, and laid it in a tomb.

Isaiah 7:15 Is part a prophecy often brought forward to fit Jesus Christ, but John The Baptist is written as the one who ate honey in Matthew 3:4 and Mark 1:6
Isaiah 7:13-16 Butter and Honey shall he eat ....
13: And he said, Hear ye now, O house of David; Is it a small thing for you to weary men, but will ye weary my God also?
14: Therefore the Lord himself shall give you a sign; Behold, a virgin shall conceive, and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel.
15: Butter and honey shall he eat, that he may know to refuse the evil, and choose the good.
16: For before the child shall know to refuse the evil, and choose the good, the land that thou abhorrest shall be forsaken of both her kings.

Zechariah Chapter 13 The fountain opened - the house of David - Jerusalem ... sin - I will bring the third part through the fire
1: In that day there shall be a fountain opened to the house of David and to the inhabitants of Jerusalem for sin and for uncleanness.
2: And it shall come to pass in that day, saith the LORD of hosts, that I will cut off the names of the idols out of the land, and they shall no more be remembered: and also I will cause the prophets and the unclean spirit[ to pass out of the land.
3: And it shall come to pass, that when any shall yet prophesy, then his father and his mother that begat him shall say unto him, Thou shalt not live; for thou speakest lies in the name of the LORD: and his father and his mother that begat him shall thrust him through when he prophesieth.
4: And it shall come to pass in that day, that the prophets shall be ashamed every one of his vision, when he hath prophesied; neither shall they wear a rough garment to deceive:
5: But he shall say, I am no prophet, I am an husbandman; for man taught me to keep cattle from my youth.
6: And one shall say unto him, What are these wounds in thine hands? Then he shall answer, Those with which I was wounded in the house of my friends.
7: Awake, O sword, against my shepherd, and against the man that is my fellow, saith the LORD of hosts: smite the shepherd, and the sheep shall be scattered: and I will turn mine hand upon the little ones.
8: And it shall come to pass, that in all the land, saith the LORD, two parts therein shall be cut off and die; but the third shall be left therein.
9: And I will bring the third part through the fire, and will refine them as silver is refined, and will try them as gold is tried: they shall call on my name, and I will hear them: I will say, It is my people: and they shall say, The LORD is my God.

Matthew 3:13-17 Jesus Is Baptized - Filled With The Holy Spirit -God Is Pleased
13: Then cometh Jesus from Galilee to Jordan unto John, to be baptized of him.
14: But John forbad him, saying, I have need to be baptized of thee, and comest thou to me?
15: And Jesus answering said unto him, Suffer it to be so now: for thus it becometh us to fulfill all righteousness. Then he suffered him.
16: And Jesus, when he was baptized, went up straightway out of the water: and, lo, the heavens were opened unto him, and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove, and lighting upon him:
17: And lo a voice from heaven, saying, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.
Matthew 14: 1-13 A sadness prevails over Jesus' Mission.John The Baptist's death by beheading; Herod thinks Jesus is the resurrection of John the Baptist. Jesus travels by ship to the desert
1: At that time Herod the tetrarch heard of the fame of Jesus,
2: And said unto his servants, This is John the Baptist; he is risen from the dead; and therefore mighty works do shew forth themselves in him.
Herod Antipater (Antipas) had part of King Herod The Great's land, which was divided between himself and his brother, Archelaus when their father died. THE GOSPEL OF MARK
Mark 1:1-11 Jesus Christ Son Of God - John the messenger, the voice crying in the wilderness...Prepare ye the way of the Lord... Jesus Baptized by John and filled with The Holy Ghost
1: The beginning of the gospel of Jesus Christ, the Son of God;
2: As it is written in the prophets Behold, I send my messenger before thy face, which shall prepare thy way before thee.
3: The voice of one crying in the wilderness, Prepare ye the way of the Lord, make his paths straight.
4: John did baptize in the wilderness, and preach the baptism of repentance for the remission of sins.
5: And there went out unto him all the land of Judaea, and they of Jerusalem, and were all baptized of him in the river of Jordan, confessing their sins.
6: And John was clothed with camel's hair, and with a girdle of a skin about his loins; and he did eat locusts and wild honey;
7: And preached, saying, There cometh one mightier than I after me, the latchet of whose shoes I am not worthy to stoop down and unloose.
8: I indeed have baptized you with water: but he shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost.
9: And it came to pass in those days, that Jesus came from Nazareth of Galilee, and was baptized of John in Jordan.
10: And straightway coming up out of the water, he saw the heavens opened, and the Spirit like a dove descending upon him:
11: And there came a voice from heaven, saying, Thou art my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.
Mark 1:14-15 Jesus Preaches in Galilee -the kingdom of God- John The Baptist is in Prison
12: And immediately the Spirit driveth him into the wilderness.
13: And he was there in the wilderness forty days, tempted of Satan; and was with the wild beasts; and the angels ministered unto him.

21: And when a convenient day was come, that Herod on his birthday made a supper to his lords, high captains, and chief estates of Galilee;

1: Now in the fifteenth year of the reign of Tiberius Caesar, Pontius Pilate being governor of Judaea, and Herod being tetrarch of Galilee, and his brother Philip tetrarch of Ituraea and of the region of Trachonitis, and Lysanias the tetrarch of Abilene,
2: Annas and Caiaphas being the high priests, the word of God came unto John the son of Zacharias in the wilderness.

3: And he came into all the country about Jordan, preaching the baptism of repentance for the remission of sins;
4: As it is written in the book of the words of Esaias the prophet, saying, The voice of one crying in the wilderness, Prepare ye the way of the Lord, make his paths straight.
5: Every valley shall be filled, and every mountain and hill shall be brought low; and the crooked shall be made straight, and the rough ways shall be made smooth;
6: And all flesh shall see the salvation of God.
7: Then said he to the multitude that came forth to be baptized of him, O generation of vipers, who hath warned you to flee from the wrath to come?
8: Bring forth therefore fruits worthy of repentance, and begin not to say within yourselves, We have Abraham to our father: for I say unto you, That God is able of these stones to raise up children unto Abraham.
9: And now also the axe is laid unto the root of the trees: every tree therefore which bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire.
10: And the people asked him, saying, What shall we do then?
11: He answereth and saith unto them, He that hath two coats, let him impart to him that hath none; and he that hath meat, let him do likewise.
12: Then came also publicans to be baptized, and said unto him, Master, what shall we do?
13: And he said unto them, Exact no more than that which is appointed you.
14: And the soldiers likewise demanded of him, saying, And what shall we do? And he said unto them, Do violence to no man, neither accuse any falsely; and be content with your wages.
15: And as the people were in expectation, and all men mused in their hearts of John, whether he were the Christ, or not;
16: John answered, saying unto them all, I indeed baptize you with water; but one mightier than I cometh, the latchet of whose shoes I am not worthy to unloose: he shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost and with fire:
17: Whose fan is in his hand, and he will throughly purge his floor, and will gather the wheat into his garner; but the chaff he will burn with fire unquenchable.
18: And many other things in his exhortation preached he unto the people.
19: But Herod the tetrarch, being reproved by him for Herodias his brother Philip's wife, and for all the evils which Herod had done,
20: Added yet this above all, that he shut up John in prison.
Luke 3: 21-22 (Jesus is Baptized and Filled With Holy Ghost, God Speaks)
21: Now when all the people were baptized, it came to pass, that Jesus also being baptized, and praying, the heaven was opened,
22: And the Holy Ghost descended in a bodily shape like a dove upon him, and a voice came from heaven, which said, Thou art my beloved Son; in thee I am well pleased.

Prophecies Of The Old Testament
