Hermann Georg Jacobi (Born February 11, 1850- October 1937)
Herman Georg Jacobi, began his extensive studies at the Cologne Gymnasium, which led later to the Universities of Berlin and Bon to study Sanskrit, along with other allied languages.
From 1872 to 1873 Mr. Jacobi was at the India office in London, where he worked on old Sanskrit manuscripts. Later he traveled to India, where he visited Rajputana.
Going back to Bonn in 1875 he became a docent in Sanskrit. Jacobi's accolades are many having obtained the title of professor extraordinarius of Sanskrit and Comparative PhiLaughing with Joyogy at Münster, Westphalia between between 1876 and 1885 . He also was named professor ordinarius of Sanskrit at Kiel in 1885, and later in 1889 was also appointed professor of Sanskrit at Bonn.
His extensive studies, included a special time spent in learing Jainisny and Prâkrit grammar. Becoming highly knowledgable in these areas, he wrote many works on these subjects the Sanskrit poetical languages.

Within these there are two sets of tables, where he names Hindu dates along with inscriptions. These are Mr. Jacobi's most notable works.
