Book Review - Jesus of Nazareth
Author: Joseph Ratzinger / Pope Benedict XVI
Publisher: Bloomsbury in Great Britain - 2007
Translated from German by : Adrian J. Walker
''February 11, 2012 God's Living Bible - The Third Testament - Research Library - Book, Movie, Television, Documentary Reviews - 'Jesus of Nazareth'
Pope Benedict XVI's - Chapter 1 - The Baptism of Jesus (God Through Anne Terri With The Holy Spirit)
On page nine, which begins Chapter One, Pope Benedict XVI has chosen to take Us to the Jordan River, in stating.''
Pope:
'Jesus' public activity begins with his Baptism in the Jordan by John the Baptist.'
''There are Biblical scholars who believe Jesus' public life begins with what is written in (Matthew 3:13-17) when he goes to John The Baptist, to be Baptized.
Those who follow Luke's Gospel, also see Jesus' public life beginning, when he is found teaching as a young adolescent.
Jesus, who is on the brink of manhood, is wise beyond his years, when he chooses to stay behind in Jerusalem teaching the elders in the Temple. He parents are worried, but he questions them for not knowing he would be in My House. Those at the Temple are amazed at his wisdom. '' (Luke 2:41-52)

''Pope Benedict XVI continues on the first page of Chapter One, bringing to mind that Matthew's version of Jesus' family tree as:''
Pope:
'the lineal descent from Abraham and David, and it presents Jesus as the inheritor' ... 'of the promise made to Abraham, and of God's pledges to David' ...'an eternal kingdom.
'three groups of fourteen generations, fourteen being the numerical value of the name David.'
'Abraham to David' ... 'David to the Babylonian Exile, and an additional period of fourteen generations' ...
''Do not confuse this translation of the phrase 'numerical value' to be the meaning of the name David in Numerology.
Yet, is it truly possible to name the 42 generations within The Old Testament? Yes and no, for there are many names which have been left out. They have chosen to cite key fathers throughout this time.
When you look at Matthew 1:6 you see that David is written at the end of the second list of 14 generations, and again placed at the beginning of the last fourteen generations, which will lead to Jesus Christ. He literally becomes the separation point.

From Research Library - Dictionary of Religious terminology:
Tetrarch: Greek, for a holder of Imperial office. Rulers of minor principalities owing allegiance to Rome.
The Herods Of The New Testament
At the time before Jesus' birth, Herod is the King of Judaea, often called Herod the Great, but the addition to his name, 'Great', has not been proven historically, and neither have historians been able to prove that he ordered the killing of the babies, as it is written in Matthew 2:16.
King Herod The Great was born sometime between 73 and 74 BC, and it is documented he died in Jerico, 4 BCE. However, his death would have been before Jesus was born. One of his sons, Herod Antipas was thought to have been born before 20 B.C. His death is documented as 39 A.C.
Herod Antipater (Antipas) Tetrarch of Galilee, had part of King Herod The Great's land, which was divided between himself and his brother, Archelaus when their father died. His actually date of birth and death are only approximations, born before 20 B.C. and he died after 39 A.D. He ruled in Galilee and Perea. This is the Herod who had Saint John The Baptist beheaded.
Philip – Herod's other Brother – Tetrarch of Ituraea/of Region of Trachonitis also reigned during the time of John The Baptist and Jesus Christ. This Herod is documented in Luke 3:1-2, along with his wife Herodias. Luke 3:20

''Anne, I Have been with you through the first half of 'Jesus of Nazareth, and have Taken you slowly. At the time of this writing, you are now able to link to every section of The Holy Bible, written within the chapters of the book.
This is a most intricate work, which takes the reader through ten chapters. For example, Pope Benedict XVI spent 36 pages devouring the meaning of 'The Lord's Prayer'. He wrote 'Jesus of Nazareth', with many Bibles laying side by side, in various languages.
Pope Benedict XVI made every effort to search for the truth, especially to connect Jesus Christ to the documented history of this time.
He chose not to use the Internet, even though it was offered.
I Advise those who read 'Jesus of Nazareth', to have your Bible with you. Below are the titles.
Anne, It is not necessary to continue My Review, with the exception of Stating that Joseph Ratzinger did what any Priest, Bishop, Cardinal, or Pope should do. Go back and learn your Holy Bible, and do it this time with a discerning eye.
I Will later Guide Anne to read with Me, the final half of 'Jesus of Nazareth'.
