THE SOUL
IMMANENT POWERS
The Kabbalists believe that from the ten sefirot, comes the power. Remember the Kabbilists way of thinking goes deeply into the Spiritual, and they have assigned names for everything they have perceived through this deep thought process.
Each sefirot corresponds to a power of the soul. Therefore, there would be ten powers.
keter, we learned is the Crown, the top of the ten sefirot. When one explains the power of the soul, they refer to their correspondence with keter.
To remind us of what the keter stands for, I have referred to a study done by an expert in Jewish Mysticism, Harav Yitzchak Ginsburgh. Remember the Crown is the first of the ten sefirot. He has made the image of the crown as an aura. He said this surrounds one's consciousness.
It includes binah/understanding, chochmah/wisdom, gevurah/might, chesed/loving-kindness, tiferet/beauty, hod/acknowledgment, netzach/victory, yesod/foundation, and malchut/kingdom
The two main powers of the soul are transcendent and immanent.
In this section I will endeavor to focus on immanent powers. They are further divided into two sections, intellect and emotions
INTELLECT
chochma: chochma is about wisdom, and it is creative. It allows one to be able to focus on the greatness of God. You received inspiration an your thinking is based on intuition. You find you are able to think great thoughts of enlightenment.
bina: With bina, you find understanding and now your intellect develops further. When another person has a great thought, you are also able to explain it. It is said by the studied Kabbalists, that bina is called the 'mother of children'. With this they refer to King David's work, Psalms 113:9
daat: Is the knowledge to be able to work with other, when they do not agree with you. If you are one who follows the Kabbalah, you strive for this perfection, for it is the sign of a mature soul, one, one of rationality.
EMOTIONS
chesed: Means to love, to be kind and generous. This is very important in the Zohar/Kabbalah. This is the first day. Without chesed, one's soul can not become mature.
gevura: With the emotion of gevura, you find yourself going against the emotion of chesed. With the feeling of gevura, you may be in fear of doing good, talking yourself out of giving, unless you are certain the charity or person you are giving to deserves it. This is not the only way gevura works. This emotion can help you to argue the case for someone who you feel deserves the right to receive. You will do this in spite of all odds, for you are working with what God's Wants, and you fear God in Heaven, and to a certain extent God gives you the power to do this form of defense. This is a balance between chesed and gevura.
tiferet: In order to work within chesed, and gevura one needs a balance. The Kabbalist calls this tiferet, which means compassion, and beauty, . They tells us that this is a good emotion, one when balances closer to chesed. To have compassion also leads to mercy towards another.
netzach: As with many sections within the Kabbalah, netzach means more than one thing. In relation to the soul, one which is important is eternity. Using the emotion of netzach you can resist the negative, going for the positive, and thus have a victory. Which is to be With God, and you need to be of full Faith in what God Wants you to do.
How to obtain this confidence is another matter. For the Kabbalist, they have devoured in depth The Old Testament, and gone forward, studying the Mitsvot, which is six hundred and thirteen areas within The Old Testament telling them what God Wants, and Does Not Want.
The 613 Mitzvot, which is Hebrew for commandment, are all the statements, principles of law and ethics contained in the first Five Books of Moses, in The Old Testament, known as the Torah. There is a link at the end of this study.
hod: Hod, goes with netzach, in soul powers in terms of acknowledgment. This emotion helps you achieve success. The key is to know God Is your source of Power. You acknowledge God's Power, and you are sincere in this Belief and Faith.
All the emotions work together. For example, chesed being love, and the gevuras ability to fight for a cause you believe is right, even though you find the need to make certain the recipient is the right one, helps you stay in balance.
yesod: yesod is the foundation. As written above, we have touched lightly on these parts of the keter/Crown.
INTELLECT
chochmah/wisdom,
binah/understanding
daat/knowledge
EMOTIONS
chesed/loving-kindness,
gevurah/might
tiferet/beauty/compassion
netzach/victory,
hod/acknowledgment,
yesod/foundation,
yesod, being the foundation brings all the above qualities together. For with intellect and emotion there is usually a person who gives and receives. Now they have become bound together. This is as in heaven and earth becoming one. However, it is very important for the person to understand the combination of intellect and emotions so that they be in perfect balance. God Has A Plan for Creation.
To fulfill God's Will takes foundation, yesod. A well read Kabbalist points us to Proverbs 10:25
Proverbs 10: 25: As the whirlwind passeth, so is the wicked no more: but the righteous is an everlasting foundation.
The final but most important link to the crown/keter is malchut/the kingdom.
malchut: This is the kingdom, which in powers of the soul is very important. You take on God's will, realizing you are nothing, but God's servant, there to do what God's Expects. It is important to Receive God's Yoke, to carry this humbly, using all of one's intellect and proper emotions to do good.
613 MITZVOT – LAWS OF MOSES

Rabbi Harav Yitzchak Ginsburgh tells us, how the 613 Mitzvot works within keter/the crown. He basically stated it is written that the full number of God's Commandments to Israel equals 613 Mitzvot, which is in the written Torah, which also combines with the 7 Mitzvot of the Oral Torah, which in total equals 620.
They have actually counted the letters of the Torah's Ten Commandments, which equals 620 letters. You know, in translated English, this does not work the same.
They go further to state that in Kabbalah the secret of the 620 Commandments is that from keter/the crown. These are said to be all the the souls of Israel who fulfill the will of the King of Kings. This is to acknowledge God's Supremacy. To understand this further, a high level Kabbalist would say, that in the Kabbalah, the supernal crown is the crown of kingdom.
