THE ANOINTING
Mark 14: 3-9 (The Anointment Of Jesus by a Woman– House of Simone the leper)
3: And being in Bethany in the house of Simon the leper, as he sat at meat, there came a woman having an alabaster box of ointment of spikenard very precious; and she brake the box, and poured it on his head.
4: And there were some that had indignation within themselves, and said, Why was this waste of the ointment made?
5: For it might have been sold for more than three hundred pence, and have been given to the poor. And they murmured against her.
6: And Jesus said, Let her alone; why trouble ye her? she hath wrought a good work on me.
7: For ye have the poor with you always, and whensoever ye will ye may do them good:but me ye have not always.
8: She hath done what she could: she is come aforehand to anoint my body to the burying.
9: Verily I say unto you, Wheresoever this gospel shall be preached throughout the whole world, this also that she hath done shall be spoken of for a memorial of her.

John 12:1-8 Mary Of Bethany - Six Days Before Passover
1: Then Jesus six days before the passover came to Bethany, where Lazarus was which had been dead, whom he raised from the dead.
2: There they made him a supper; and Martha served: but Lazarus was one of them that sat at the table with him.
3: Then took Mary a pound of ointment of spikenard, very costly, and anointed the feet of Jesus, and wiped his feet with her hair: and the house was filled with the odour of the ointment.
4: Then saith one of his disciples, Judas Iscariot, Simon's son,
which should betray him,
5: Why was not this ointment sold for three hundred pence, and given to the poor?
6: This he said, not that he cared for the poor; but because he was a thief, and had the bag, and bare what was put therein.
7: Then said Jesus, Let her alone:
against the day of my burying hath she kept this.
8: For the poor always ye have with you; but me ye have not always.

9: Much people of the Jews therefore knew that he was there: and they came not for Jesus' sake only, but that they might see Lazarus also, whom
he had raised from the dead.
10: But the chief priests consulted that they might put Lazarus also to death;

Luke 7: 36-48 Mary's Anointing of Jesus the Christ (Note: According to John 11:2 this is Mary, Lazarus' Sister, Mary of Bethany)
36: And one of the Pharisees desired him that he would eat with him. And he went into the Pharisee's house, and sat down to meat.
37: And, behold, a woman in the city, which was a sinner, when she knew that Jesus sat at meat in the Pharisee's house, brought an alabaster box of ointment,
38: And stood at his feet behind him weeping, and began to wash his feet with tears, and did wipe them with the hairs of her head, and kissed his feet, and anointed them with the ointment.
39: Now when the Pharisee which had bidden him saw it, he spake within himself, saying, This man, if he were a prophet, would have known who and what manner of woman this is that toucheth him: for she is a sinner.
40: And Jesus answering said unto him, Simon, I have somewhat to say unto thee. And he saith, Master, say on.
41: There was a certain creditor which had two debtors: the one owed five hundred pence, and the other fifty.
42: And when they had nothing to pay, he frankly forgave them both. Tell me therefore, which of them will love him most?
43: Simon answered and said, I suppose that he, to whom he forgave most.
And he said unto him, Thou hast rightly judged.
44: And he turned to the woman, and said unto Simon, Seest thou this woman? I entered into thine house, thou gavest me no water for my feet: but she hath washed my feet with tears, and wiped them with the hairs of her head.
45: Thou gavest me no kiss: but this woman since the time I came in hath not ceased to kiss my feet.
46: My head with oil thou didst not anoint: but this woman hath anointed my feet with ointment.
47: Wherefore I say unto thee, Her sins, which are many, are forgiven; for she loved much: but to whom little is forgiven, the same loveth little.
48: And he said unto her, Thy sins are forgiven.
49: And they that sat at meat with him began to say within themselves, Who is this that forgiveth sins also?
50: And he said to the woman, Thy faith hath saved thee; go in peace.
Anne Terri's Notes: The Song of Solomon, is written as a Love song. Jesus is later annointed with Spikenard by Mary. What does this tell us? For one, it is not used in burial customs. It is a strong, expensive perfumed oil, quite heady.
Canticles (The Song of Solomon): 1:12 Spikenard and Myrrh
12: While the king sitteth at his table, my spikenard sendeth forth the smell thereof.
13: A bundle of myrrh is my wellbeloved unto me; he shall lie all night betwixt my breasts.
Canticles - (The Song of Solomon) 4:13 Spikenard, Frankincense and Myrrh
13: Thy plants are an orchard of pomegranates, with pleasant fruits; camphire, with spikenard,
14: Spikenard and saffron; calamus and cinnamon, with all trees of frankincense; myrrh and aloes, with all the chief spices:
Anne Terri's Conclusion: Important points to remember:
Mark 14:1-10 Simon is a Leper, and Mary's name is not written, just a woman. Spikenard is said to be to anoint Jesus for burial.
Judas is not mentioned. Mark places the date at two days before Passover.
♦♦♦
Luke 7:36-50 At a Pharisees house, a Woman sinner anoints Jesus with ointment,
Simon complains and receives a Parable from Jesus, and he forgives the woman her sins.
Jesus does not say, she is anointing me for my burial.
♦♦♦
John Chapter 11:2 We are reminded, Mary anointed the Lord, She is Lazarus' and Martha's Sister.
In John 12:1-8 it is six days before the Passover. He names the ointment as Spikenard, and says Judas is the one who complained, as well as being Simon's son. It is still an anointing for burial.
There are many Mary's in The New Testament. Not once, in the above anointing scenarios, is there a last name written as Magdalene.

About Magdala and Bethany
Magdala is located to the west of the Sea of Galilee, not far from Cana, and Nazareth.
Bethany is closer to Jerusalem, much further south.

7: But go your way, tell his disciples and Peter that he goeth before you into Galilee: there shall ye see him, as he said unto you.

Luke 24:1-32 ''They came unto the sepulchre''
Luke 24:1-3 (The first day of the week – They find the stone rolled away – Jesus' Body is gone)
1: Now upon the first day of the week, very early in the morning, they came unto the sepulchre, bringing the spices which they had prepared, and certain others with them.
2: And they found the stone rolled away from the sepulchre.
3: And they entered in, and found not the body of the Lord Jesus.
Luke 24: 4-8 (Two Men, shining garments –) ''He is not here, but is risen.''
4: And it came to pass, as they were much perplexed thereabout, behold, two men stood by them in shining garments:
5: And as they were afraid, and bowed down their faces to the earth, they said unto them, Why seek ye the living among the dead?
6: He is not here, but is risen:
remember how he spake unto you when he was yet in Galilee,
7: Saying, The Son of man must be delivered into the hands of sinful men, and be crucified, and the third day rise again.
8: And they remembered his words,
Anne Terri's Note. If what is written above, in the end of Luke 24: 6-8 from the colon onward, is truth, then why in Luke 24: 11-12 below, would the Apostles not believe? And Why would Peter wonder at that which was come to pass?

Luke 24:9-14 (Mary Magdalene, Joanna, Mary - Mother of James, and others tell The Apostles)
9: And returned from the sepulchre, and told all these things unto the eleven, and to all the rest.
10: It was Mary Magdalene, and Joanna, and Mary the mother of James, and other women that were with them, which told these things unto the apostles.
11: And their words seemed to them as idle tales, and they believed them not.
12: Then arose Peter, and ran unto the sepulchre; and stooping down, he beheld the linen clothes laid by themselves, and departed, wondering in himself at that which was come to pass.
13: And, behold, two of them went that same day to a village called Emmaus, which was from Jerusalem about threescore furlongs.
14: And they talked together of all these things which had happened.
Luke 24: 15-32 (Jesus Appears and Speaks to Cleopas who tells him about the Crucifixion.)
15: And it came to pass, that, while they communed together and reasoned, Jesus himself drew near, and went with them.
16: But their eyes were holden that they should not know him.
17: And he said unto them, What manner of communications are these that ye have one to another, as ye walk, and are sad?
18: And the one of them, whose name was Cleopas, answering said unto him, Art thou only a stranger in Jerusalem, and hast not known the things which are come to pass therein these days?
19: And he said unto them, What things? And they said unto him,
Concerning Jesus of Nazareth, which was a prophet mighty in deed and word before God and all the people:
20: And how the chief priests and our rulers delivered him to be condemned to death, and have crucified him.
21: But we trusted that it had been he which should have redeemed Israel:
and beside all this, to day is the third day since these things were done.
22: Yea, and certain women also of our company made us astonished, which were early at the sepulchre;
23: And when they found not his body, they came, saying, that they had also seen a vision of angels, which said that he was alive.
24: And certain of them which were with us went to the sepulchre, and found it even so as the women had said:but but him they saw not.
25: Then he said unto them,O fools, and slow of heart to believe all that the prophets have spoken:
26: Ought not Christ to have suffered these things, and to enter into his glory?
27: And beginning at Moses and all the prophets, he expounded unto them in all the scriptures the things concerning himself.
28: And they drew nigh unto the village, whither they went: and he made as though he would have gone further.
29: But they constrained him, saying, Abide with us: for it is toward evening, and the day is far spent. And he went in to tarry with them.
30: And it came to pass, as he sat at meat with them, he took bread, and blessed it, and brake, and gave to them.
31: And their eyes were opened, and they knew him;and he vanished out of their sight.
32: And they said one to another, Did not our heart burn within us, while he talked with us by the way, and while he opened to us the scriptures?
Anne Terri: Jesus has Requested that I look up the woman he saved from being stoned to see if there is a name of location. In John 8:1-11, The Temple of Jerusalem is where Jesus saves a woman taken in adultery from stoning. There is no name mentioned.

John 8: 1-11 ''He that is without sin among you, let him first cast a stone at her
1: Jesus went unto the mount of Olives.
2: And early in the morning he came again into the temple, and all the people came unto him; and he sat down, and taught them.
3: And the scribes and Pharisees brought unto him a woman taken in adultery; and when they had set her in the midst,
4: They say unto him, Master, this woman was taken in adultery, in the very act.
5: Now Moses in the law commanded us, that such should be stoned: but what sayest thou?
6: This they said, tempting him, that they might have to accuse him. But Jesus stooped down, and with his finger wrote on the ground, as though he heard them not.
7: So when they continued asking him, he lifted up himself, and said unto them, He that is without sin among you, let him first cast a stone at her.
8: And again he stooped down, and wrote on the ground.
9: And they which heard it, being convicted by their own conscience, went out one by one, beginning at the eldest, even unto the last: and Jesus was left alone, and the woman standing in the midst.
10: When Jesus had lifted up himself, and saw none but the woman, he said unto her, Woman, where are those thine accusers? hath no man condemned thee?
11: She said, No man, Lord. And Jesus said unto her, Neither do I condemn thee: go, and sin no more.
Anne Terri's Notes: Now, I will look once more at the documentation on Mary of Magdalene in The Gospel of John 20. She is mentioned more in John than in any other section of The Holy Bible. There is no mention here of her being with demons.

John 20: 1-8 Mary Magdalene At The Tomb With Peter
1: The first day of the week cometh Mary Magdalene early, when it was yet dark, unto the sepulchre, and seeth the stone taken away from the sepulchre.
2: Then she runneth, and cometh to Simon Peter, and to the other disciple, whom Jesus loved, and saith unto them, They have taken away the Lord out of the sepulchre, and we know not where they have laid him.
3: Peter therefore went forth, and that other disciple, and came to the sepulchre.
4: So they ran both together: and the other disciple did outrun Peter, and came first to the sepulchre.
5: And he stooping down, and looking in, saw the linen clothes lying; yet went he not in.
6: Then cometh Simon Peter following him, and went into the sepulchre, and seeth the linen clothes lie,
7: And the napkin, that was about his head, not lying with the linen clothes, but wrapped together in a place by itself.
8: Then went in also that other disciple, which came first to the sepulchre, and he saw, and believed.
Anne Terri's Notes: In John 20:9 there is one of those keys he has left for us. John is saying they did not know of this prophecy, that he must rise again from the dead. Therefor, I believe Jesus hasn't said this to them. Yet, throughout many of the Gospels, it's written. Why? God has shared with us, that there were many embellishments after the Crucifixion, to make it fit the prophecies. The High Priests, and the Jews fortunate enough to spend time reading the Holy Scrolls, knew The Old Testament Prophets well.

14: And when she had thus said, she turned herself back, and saw Jesus standing, and knew not that it was Jesus.
15: Jesus saith unto her, Woman, why weepest thou? whom seekest thou?
She, supposing him to be the gardener, saith unto him, Sir, if thou have borne him hence, tell me where thou hast laid him, and I will take him away.
16: Jesus saith unto her, Mary. She turned herself, and saith unto him, Rabboni; which is to say, Master.
17: Jesus saith unto her, Touch me not; for I am not yet ascended to my Father: but go to my brethren, and say unto them, I ascend unto my Father, and your Father; and to my God, and your God.
18: Mary Magdalene came and told the disciples that she had seen the Lord, and that he had spoken these things unto her.
Anne Terri's Notes: Above, in John 20:17, Jesus tells Mary of Magdalene to share with the brethren of his ascent to Heaven. This would mean, The first Ascension was not witnessed.
It's difficult to type this, for The Holy Spirit is within my view at this time. Two nights ago The Spirit of God came forward, Appearing between myself and Carlo Ferdinando, our other Messiah in Europe.
We were, as usual, discussing The Holy Bible. At the time, The Holy Spirit, was the size of around a meter in circumference. At this time, The Bright Spirit is the size of a large cursor. Interesting, for below, In John 20: 19-23, We are now at the moment in time, when Jesus also filled his Disciples with The Holy Ghost. They have been given the gift of remitting and retaining sins. And Jesus shares, that like he was sent by God, so will they be sent.
