Mark 2:1-4 Jesus enters Capernaum, and is brought one sick of the palsy
1: And again he entered into Capernaum, after some days; and it was noised that he was in the house.
2: And straightway many were gathered together, insomuch that there was no room to receive them, no, not so much as about the door: and he preached the word unto them.
3: And they come unto him, bringing one sick of the palsy, which was borne of four.
4: And when they could not come nigh unto him for the press, they uncovered the roof where he was: and when they had broken it up, they let down the bed wherein the sick of the palsy lay.
Mark 2:5-12 Jesus is challenged, for only God forgives sins. He is accused of blasphemy. He tells man with palsy, Arise, take up thy bed. All are amazed.
5: When Jesus saw their faith, he said unto the sick of the palsy, Son, thy sins be forgiven thee.
6: But there were certain of the scribes sitting there, and reasoning in their hearts,
7: Why doth this man thus speak blasphemies? who can forgive sins but God only?
8: And immediately when Jesus perceived in his spirit that they so reasoned within themselves, he said unto them, Why reason ye these things in your hearts?
9: Whether is it easier to say to the sick of the palsy, Thy sins be forgiven thee; or to say, Arise, and take up thy bed, and walk?
10: But that ye may know that the Son of man hath power on earth to forgive sins, (he saith to the sick of the palsy,)
11: I say unto thee, Arise, and take up thy bed, and go thy way into thine house.
12: And immediately he arose, took up the bed, and went forth before them all; insomuch that they were all amazed, and glorified God, saying, We never saw it on this fashion.
Mark 2:13 (Jesus teaches by sea)
13: And he went forth again by the sea side; and all the multitude resorted unto him, and he taught them.
Mark 2:14 Levi Son of Alphaeus chosen (Matthew)
14: And as he passed by, he saw Levi the son of Alphaeus sitting at the receipt of custom, and said unto him, Follow me. And he arose and followed him.
Anne Terri's Notes: I have seen it written that Levi is Matthew. Matthew is The Apostle who writes of Jesus choosing him at the receipt of custom. This is written in Matthew 9:9, and they go on to eat at the house of Matthew. It is almost the same story, but written in Mark 2, and in Luke 5:27-39, with the name of Levi. My only question is, when going through Mark's list of Apostles, in Mark 3:16-19, he lists Matthew, not Levi. Could it be, that Matthew is from the house of Levi, and Mark and Luke did not know his name till then?
Mark 2:15-16 The Scribes and Pharisees challenge Jesus for eating with publicans and sinners at Levi's House
15: And it came to pass, that, as Jesus sat at meat in his house, many publicans and sinners sat also together with Jesus and his disciples: for there were many, and they followed him.
16: And when the scribes and Pharisees saw him eat with publicans and sinners, they said unto his disciples, How is it that he eateth and drinketh with publicans and sinners?
Mark 2: 17 Jesus calls the sinners to repentance
17: When Jesus heard it, he saith unto them, They that are whole have no need of the physician, but they that are sick: I came not to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance.
Mark 2:18-20 Pharisees challenge Jesus about fasting/Bridegroom
18: And the disciples of John and of the Pharisees used to fast: and they come and say unto him, Why do the disciples of John and of the Pharisees fast, but thy disciples fast not?
19: And Jesus said unto them, Can the children of the bridechamber fast, while the bridegroom is with them? as long as they have the bridegroom with them, they cannot fast.
20: But the days will come, when the bridegroom shall be taken away from them, and then shall they fast in those days.
Anne Terri's Notes: In Luke 5:34-35, and in Mark 2:19, it is written as the word fast, not mourn. Therefore, it is slightly different than in Matthew 9:15. Here we learn that fasting is for the ones who mourn the dead. John the Baptist is dead. It reads as a prophecy of death for Jesus. It is not written in the Gospel of John.
Mark 2:18-21-22 Sewing New Cloth on Old Garment and Putting New Wine into Old Bottles
21: No man also seweth a piece of new cloth on an old garment: else the new piece that filled it up taketh away from the old, and the rent is made worse.
22: And no man putteth new wine into old bottles: else the new wine doth burst the bottles, and the wine is spilled, and the bottles will be marred: but new wine must be put into new bottles.
Anne Terri's Notes: Now, let us look again at this in comparison of Matthew to Mark to Luke, for it's nearly the same, up until Jesus' miracle healing of the woman in Matthew 9:18. For in Mark, the next story is of the picking of the corn.
Matthew 9:10-17 I Will Have Mercy, And Not Sacrifice
10: And it came to pass, as Jesus sat at meat in the house, behold, many publicans and sinners came and sat down with him and his disciples.
11: And when the Pharisees saw it, they said unto his disciples, Why eateth your Master with publicans and sinners?
12: But when Jesus heard that, he said unto them, They that be whole need not a physician, but they that are sick.
13: But go ye and learn what that meaneth, I will have mercy, and not sacrifice: for I am not come to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance.
14: Then came to him the disciples of John, saying, Why do we and the Pharisees fast oft, but thy disciples fast not?
15: And Jesus said unto them, Can the children of the bridechamber mourn, as long as the bridegroom is with them? but the days will come, when the bridegroom shall be taken from them, and then shall they fast.
16: No man putteth a piece of new cloth unto an old garment, for that which is put in to fill it up taketh from the garment, and the rent is made worse.
17: Neither do men put new wine into old bottles: else the bottles break, and the wine runneth out, and the bottles perish: but they put new wine into new bottles, and both are preserved.

Compare Luke 5:27-39 (At The House of Levi)
27: And after these things he went forth, and saw a publican, named Levi, sitting at the receipt of custom: and he said unto him, Follow me.
28: And he left all, rose up, and followed him.
29: And Levi made him a great feast in his own house: and there was a great company of publicans and of others that sat down with them.
30: But their scribes and Pharisees murmured against his disciples, saying, Why do ye eat and drink with publicans and sinners?
31: And Jesus answering said unto them, They that are whole need not a physician; but they that are sick.
32: I came not to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance.
33: And they said unto him, Why do the disciples of John fast often, and make prayers, and likewise the disciples of the Pharisees; but thine eat and drink?
34: And he said unto them, Can ye make the children of the bridechamber fast, while the bridegroom is with them?
35: But the days will come, when the bridegroom shall be taken away from them, and then shall they fast in those days.
36: And he spake also a parable unto them; No man putteth a piece of a new garment upon an old; if otherwise, then both the new maketh a rent, and the piece that was taken out of the new agreeth not with the old.
37: And no man putteth new wine into old bottles; else the new wine will burst the bottles, and be spilled, and the bottles shall perish.
38: But new wine must be put into new bottles; and both are preserved.
39: No man also having drunk old wine straightway desireth new: for he saith, The old is better. glbresearch.proboards.com/post/1755/thread

Mark 2:23-28 (Teachings of Jesus – Sabbath Made For Man)
23: And it came to pass, that he went through the corn fields on the sabbath day; and his disciples began, as they went, to pluck the ears of corn.
24: And the Pharisees said unto him, Behold, why do they on the sabbath day that which is not lawful?
25: And he said unto them, Have ye never read what David did, when he had need, and was an hungred, he, and they that were with him?
26: How he went into the house of God in the days of Abiathar the high priest, and did eat the shewbread, which is not lawful to eat but for the priests, and gave also to them which were with him?
27: And he said unto them, The sabbath was made for man, and not man for the sabbath:
28: Therefore the Son of man is Lord also of the sabbath.
THE COLOR CODES OF THE THIRD TESTAMENT
"God Speaking To Anne Terri Through The Holy Spirit:
Not all of the Old and New Testaments, have been color coded at this time, as Study Guides, for these are still in progress. Anne follows My Transcript, The Colors of The Third Testament, for they are quite intricate. This is a reference for all Messiahs within The Third Testament, and Apostles who are learning. Note these are advanced Colors of The Third Testament and many of the early Study Guides do not show all of them in use.
