Iceland's Volcano Eruption, Grounding Planes Across Europe (God Through Carlo Ferdinando and Anne Terri)
A volcano under a glacier, which has been dormant for 200 years, and has erupted in South Iceland produced an ash cloud which has been traveling across Europe, grounding planes in many areas.
When the ash gets into the jet engine, it is dangerous, and it is difficult to start planes engines again.
It was reported by a spokesman for the airport in Copenhagen, that over 25,000 passengers were affected and that this many flights have not been halted, through such a large area, since the 2001 terror attacks.
The people in Iceland are fleeing floods caused by the same volcano which also erupted last month, creating havoc in the Eyjafjallajokull region.
