The Film - Francesco (God Through Anne Terri With The Holy Spirit)
1.We Have Viewed, Together, a movie version of Saint Francis' life.
2.It begins with his family.
3.In the film, Saint Francis, started to give his fathers merchandise away to the poor.
4.He intended to follow a life of poverty.
5.He felt this was what Jesus wanted.
6.Saint Frances kept a tiny prayer book filled with his favorite Gospels taught by Jesus.
7.This movie was dubbed in Italian, but Carlo Ferdinando, translated parts of it for Anne.
8.What stood out for Anne, in this movie, was Saint Francis' total belief in owning nothing.
9.He fasted often, and ate little, mostly bread and water.
10.In the beginning of his early mission, Saint Francis, embraced the poor and sick, helping them in any way possible.
11.Saint Francis had many followers, which seemed like Jesus'Apostles.
12.He felt it was important to have his followers sanctioned by The Roman Catholic Church.
13.There was a scene in the film, when Saint Francis went to the Pope to beg for this, and on his knees, face to the floor spoke of the need for the Church to embrace his beliefs.
14.They agreed to this, and asked them for a plan.
15.Later, Saint Francis left for solitude and Prayer, turning over the teaching of Jesus to trusted disciples.
16.He is known for working with animals, and their way of coming to him without fear.
17.The Stigmata which appeared on his hands and feet was a later Miracle in his life.
18.The film ends with his people making the effort to record everything that happened, for future generations.
19.In the present day, they have placed his simple garment on display and it sits in a museum setting under glass.
